Spaghetti with garlic and olive oil

Description

A light, simple pasta dish great for a quick meal that also works as a great base for other ingredients you may want to add.

Shopping List:

Vegetable
Garlic clove 25 g5 whole
Sauces & spices
Chilli flakes 1 g¼ tsp
Olive oil, extra virgin 90 ml5¾ tbsp
Herb
Parsley, flat leaf 8 g2 tbsp
Grain
Pasta, spaghetti 500 g6¼ cups
Dairy
Pecorino 30 g¼ cup

Preparation Steps:

  1. Bring to boil enough salted water for the pasta

  2. Crush or mince the garlic

  3. Finely chop parsley

  4. Grate pecorino

Cooking Steps:

  1. Cook pasta in boiling salted water until cooked through but firm

  2. At the same time, heat oil in frypan over low heat. Add garlic and chilli flakes and fry for 2 minutes or until garlic has softened, then remove pan from heat

  3. Drain pasta but leave some water clinging to the pasta

  4. Add hot pasta and parsley to the frypan (with garlic and chilli) and toss pasta to coat

Serving instructions:

Serve at once with grated pecorino
