Beef and snow peas

Bring Asian flavours and aromas to your home by preparing a simple beef and snow peas dish. Use in isolation or as a complimentary main meal.

Shopping List:

Sauces & spices
Soy sauce 63 ml4 tbsp
Ginger 1 g1 tsp
Cornflour 9 g3 tsp
Sesame oil 3 ml¼ tbsp
Beef, rump steak 800 g2¾ whole
Beef stock 250 ml1 cup
Snow peas 400 g4 cups

Preparation Steps:

  1. Thinly slice the steak

  2. Grate the ginger

Cooking Steps:

  1. Place the meat in a bowl. Mix the soy sauce and ginger and add to the meat

  2. Heat the wok or large frypan until very hot, add 1 tablespoon of oil and swirl it around to coat the sides

  3. Add the beef and snow peas and cook over high heat for 2 minutes or until the meat changes colour

  4. Dissolve the cornflour in a little of the stock.

  5. Add to the wok/frypan with the remaining stock, add another small splash of soy and sesame oil

  6. Stir until the sauce boils and thickens and serve immediately
